Affiliate links, and how this site makes money

Short version: No link here earns us a commission. Nothing is sold here, and what we recommend is not decided by what it pays.

Which links

None of them, today. Every link that leaves this site goes to a plain product page with no tracking tag on it. We are not enrolled in any affiliate program, so there is currently nothing to disclose beyond the fact that there is nothing to disclose.

This page exists because that is expected to change, and because saying so in advance is easier than being asked later. If a link ever does start earning us something, it will say so where the link is — beside the link itself, not only at the bottom of the page.

How recommendations are made

Every product on this site is chosen against a written specification, and the reasoning is published, including for the things we rejected. Where a cheaper option is better, the cheaper option is what we say to buy — the sheet protectors are three cents each and we make nothing on them.

Nothing is sold on this site. There is no cart, no checkout, and no account.

Privacy

This site collects nothing. No account, no newsletter, no tracking beyond whatever the host logs by default. Affiliate links may set a cookie on the destination retailer's site, which is between you and them, and their privacy policy applies once you click.

No real family information appears on this site. Anything that looks like a person's record is a placeholder.
